5% Copper is delivered safely with 14% P2O5 and 7.5% Calcium to enhance quality factors when copper is desired. Copocal™ promotes color development on a wide variety of crops including carrots, beets, radishes, onions, eggplant, red apple varieties, red grapes, and stone fruit. Vegetable crops get best results from multiple applications starting early, while tree crop applications start mid-season.

Red Color Program for Tree Fruit
Since Calcium is always on apple growers’ minds, calcium source compatibility is important. Calcium Chloride cannot be tank mixed with Copocal. Calcium Chloride by itself can form a mild hydrochloric acid in the spray tank, which can increase the solubility of metals- Zinc, Iron, Manganese, Copper- and creates a risk of russeting fruit. To overcome the risk, simply use a non-chloride source, such as our MIRA-CAL if tank mixing any of these metals with Copocal. Growers may time their calcium applications to alternate with 3 red color enhancing applications.
