The Phyllosphere refers to the aerial parts of the plant: leaves, stems, buds and flowers where a community of dynamic microorganisms live. The microbes inhabiting the plant live on the exposed surfaces as well as within and between the plant’s cells. Bacteria are the largest constituent in both numbers and diversity by far.

FoliBac ULTRA is a biological inoculant containing Nitrogen supplying bacteria. These bacteria inhabit the leaf and leaf surface. The bacteria benefit from the plants as an energy source. To complete their life cycles, they release biochemicals containing Nitrogen which the plants utilize for supplemental Nitrogen. FoliBac ULTRA is classified as a biofertilizer.
