At low tide, Ascophyllum Nodosum is subject to temperature variations, solar radiation and to the drying conditions of the atmosphere for 12 hours. To survive, Ascophyllum Nodosum produces molecules capable of inducing stress-resistance mechanisms both at plant level and at cell level.
Zinc controls the synthesis of indoleacetic acid, an important plant growth regulator that promotes cell division, directs the flow of food and other plant auxins. Zinc promotes growth hormones, starch formation and seed development/maturation.
Foliar applications of Zinc can help bypass deficiencies caused by sandy or alkaline soils (high pH) or soils that have low organic matter content and high in available phosphorus.
